Furi, cui neque servus est neque arca
2
nec cimex neque araneus neque ignis,
3
verum est et pater et noverca, quorum
4
dentes vel silicem comesse possunt,
5
est pulchre tibi cum tuo parente
6
et cum coniuge lignea parentis.
7
nec mirum: bene nam valetis omnes,
8
pulchre concoquitis, nihil timetis,
9
non incendia, non graves ruinas,
10
non furta impia, non dolos veneni,
11
non casus alios periculorum.
12
atqui corpora sicciora cornu
13
aut si quid magis aridum est habetis
14
sole et frigore et esuritione.
15
quare non tibi sit bene ac beate?
16
a te sudor abest, abest saliva,
17
mucusque et mala pituita nasi.
18
hanc ad munditiem adde mundiorem,
19
quod culus tibi purior salillo est,
20
nec toto decies cacas in anno;
21
atque id durius est faba et lapillis,
22
quod tu si manibus teras fricesque,
23
non unquam digitum inquinare possis.
24
haec tu commoda tam beata, Furi,
25
noli spernere nec putare parvi,
26
et sestertia quae soles precari
27
centum desine: nam satis beatu's.
